A Day of Friendship and Discovery

Today was a day filled with unexpected twists and delightful moments. It all started with a call from my friend Nandini, inquiring about whether I was attending class. Little did I know that this simple question would lead to a day of bonding and revelations.

I had just woken up, hastily got ready, and made my way to class as Nandini requested. However, within ten minutes, our professor surprised us with the opportunity to mark our attendance by attending a seminar. Instead, Nandini and I decided to embark on a culinary adventure to one of our favorite places in Satya Niketan, "Old Spices."

Old Spices holds a special place in my heart, primarily because they serve the best food in the area. And let's not forget their lemonade, my absolute favorite! As we settled in, Nandini ordered a sandwich while revealing her tiffin, filled with aloo-shimla and roti. It was a delicious surprise, and I couldn't help but appreciate her thoughtfulness.

Soon, our friend Geetika joined us, and the conversation naturally turned to the topic of love. Nandini shared a profound thought about feeling like a vessel for love at times and like the water flowing into it at others. She likened love to food, something she gives more of but often receives less in return.

Our next destination was the market, where Geetika and Nandini playfully teased me about my past reservations toward Geetika. I couldn't help but remember defending Geetika to my ex just six months ago, reassuring her that Geetika was indeed my friend.

Later, I took a moment to clear the air with Geetika, expressing that I never disliked her; I simply hadn't been comfortable admitting my friendship before. It might seem childish, but this newfound understanding brought me immense happiness.

We also stopped by our college, where I had the opportunity to meet the president and treasurer of my society, "Petrichor." They appreciated my writing work, and I was momentarily captivated by the president's soothing voice. It's unclear whether it was the compliments or her voice that left such an impression.

Our adventure continued as we ventured to Majnu ka Tilla, where we indulged in laphing, pizza, and refreshing drinks. During our journey, I learned a great deal about Geetika's past, from her challenging experiences in primary school to dreams and moments that shaped her. Seeing Geetika in a new light made me even more comfortable with our friendship.

Back home, I dedicated my evening to blogging, reflecting on Nandini's dream of owning a 2BHK flat and three cats, and Geetika's aspiration to become someone who buys things without worrying about the price. It was a day of revelations, and I realized that I had grown closer to my friends in ways I hadn't anticipated.

As the day came to a close, I didn't do much except chat with Ehsaas for an hour and engage in some friendly competition with a game of Shadow Fight, which I won once. I wrapped up my day with a peaceful walk and a hearty dinner.

Now, it's time to hit the books and study. Today was truly a good day, one filled with friendship, laughter, and the joy of getting to know my friends on a deeper level. Until next time, goodbye.
