Day 2: More People, More Stories, and a Not-So-Great Video Attempt
Well, Day 1 ended on such a good note that I was equally hyped for Day 2. Though we reached at 9:40 AM the first day, this time we arrived fashionably late—at exactly 10:00 AM. Improvement? Debatable.
Anyway, once we landed at the office, we weren’t thrown into tasks right away. Instead, we were asked to share what we had learned from our research about SUNROOOF. It was more of a “let’s hear you out” session, which was chill.
After that, Kunal introduced us to everyone, and the people parade began.
First, we met Jatin Sir, who handles the Post-Sales department. Alongside him are Dheeraj and Shivang, who are also part of the Post-Sales team. Then came Mrinal Sir, the Sales Head And after that, it was like a proper office version of a meet-and-greet session. We all stood in a circle as the intros began:
Pranav – my marketing manager (cool and composed)
Shivangi – the social media wizard
Gautam Batra – yes, same name as mine. He makes 3D models (not clones though)
Shantanu – the video editor and my unofficial Premiere Pro mentor
Faize – Sales Manager
Ankul – also a Sales Manager
Aayush – yet another awesome addition to the Sales squad
Kaushika - Sales team for the win
Reeshav – Business Development
Bhanu – also Business Development
Neha – again, Business Development (yep, BD team is stacked!)
Himanshi – the designer with the creative flair
Shristi – joined with us, but she's in BD
Sneha – CRM in-charge and keeps everything customer-focused
It was a really nice interaction. Honestly, it felt warm and welcoming.
After the intros, we were assigned to our respective teams. I got assigned to the Marketing Team, which includes Pranav, Shivangi, and Shantanu. All three of them are super sweet and honestly, cute humans. They explained everything related to each task so patiently that I almost felt like I was back in school—only this time, I actually liked the teachers.
I also got to sit with them in the office, which was nice.
My first task of the day was to research architects in GCC countries. Yep, at first I had no idea what GCC even meant. (Spoiler: It’s the Gulf Cooperation Council).
Later on, I was also told to do research on SUNROOOF’s Instagram, LinkedIn, and Website, and submit my interpretations the next day. Oh, and I shot a video too! It didn’t turn out that great, but hey, there’s always room to grow, right? Right?!
Anyway, I really liked my second day of the internship.
The day ended peacefully. I went “home” with Ankush. Well, not exactly home—it’s a 1RK—but trust me, Ankush Bhai’s company makes it feel like home. Living in a city far from home can feel overwhelming sometimes, but being with someone you’ve spent 8 months with? That’s comfort.
Cheers to Ankush Bhai’s health!
He’ll probably stop pampering me if he ever reads this, but I know he won’t—he’s an excellent guy. Total elder brother vibes.
We wrapped up the night with some dinner and stand-up comedy. We laughed, ate, and slept like babies.
Until then, sayonara!
See you in the next blog.
