A Firm Handshake
So what place did I tell him? Well, this dumbass had no suggestions so I asked him where should we go he said that every time we go somewhere the place is always decided by him so at least this time you suggest something and I went silent for like 1 minute then he said let's go to north campus I said let's go then he said what will we do there I again went silent then he said let us go to Chandni Chowk and I said let's go by bus he said okay.
Then we went to his home so that he could change his jeans. Then he asked me how much time will it cost us to make a trip back and forth to Chandni Chowk and I replied with a slow two hours then he said let's go to any other place but I said let me check the metro and metro showed a difference of 40 minutes and I asked him now what and he said should we lock this destination like Amitabh Bachchan in a very funny way so I said why not let's go.
And for fuck sake I forgot my metro card that day so I had to buy a token to Chandni chowk well for to don't know how to buy a metro token here is the procedure-
1. You have to purchase tokens before going through the security.
2. You can see the machine near the person checking your temperature or the one who is spraying sanitizer.
3. On the machine touchscreen click on the token tab and then type the first letter of your destination a whole list of destinations starting with that letter will come on the screen now click on your destination.
4. Now click on the no. of tokens you wanna purchase and go through the security.
A side note: Don't lose your token for the safer side put it in your bag or your tight jeans upper small pocket.
So we reached Chandni after almost 40 minutes and after reaching there both of us were confused now what to do we didn't have any goals for the trip then I heard some voice on his phone he was watching videos of Chandni chowk famous places and then abruptly he said Paranthe Vali Gully and I searched it on the map so we followed the map directions and then we reached the actual Chandni Chowk market.
And my God it was seriously so amazing streetlights sparkling like stars, old buildings, the smell of street Chaat and Rabri (a milk dish), and people busy in their shopping a sight to see.
So we started exploring the market while searching for the paranthe vali gully and baap re kya mast jagah h voh (a pretty great place: we are talking about the paranthe vali gully) the fresh smell of puris, chole, paranthas, and lassi.
It is seriously a great place to explore but unfortunately, we went at night time and many of the shops were on brink of closing time, and many were closed so we started for shops selling faluda and lassi which could fit our budget but kudos to our bad luck one faluda cost started from 70 rupees an went to 180 rupees.
So we found one shop selling these chaat items like Dahi Bhalla, Sev puri, gol-gappas, etc. And everything was priced at 50 rupees so we ordered Bhalla papdi chaat at the time of payment we asked for their QR code to which they said no and due to some certain formalities we couldn't eat the food before paying cash
to them so my friend went to a shop and got 50 rupees in cash by paying them online and then we paid for the chaat wala and started our spicy treat which was literally very spicy (spicy memories for us Rajasthanis peeps).
Then we ate a Paneer Masala Dosa (South Indian dish) which had a sprinkle of grated paneer(cottage cheese) and again started searching for faluda and the ones we found were again expensive so thought of going to the shop which was selling faluda for 70 rupees and we started running so we could reach it before its closing time but guess what it was closed. Then we thought of eating ice-cream cones which were again expensive so we went to Sardar Ji's shop which was selling rabri faluda and rabri kulfi 70rs and 30rs respectively both of them were tasty but a little overpriced like by 20 percent.
Now the metro station closest to us was the Lal Quila metro station so we went there I purchased a token and got on the metro it was pretty crowded and I did a silly mistake which led to a waste of 10 minutes so what I did was-
We had to change our metro at Lajpat Nagar but by viewing errors by my eye I thought Jangpura was our changing station so we dropped on Jangpura and realized our mistake( which was totally my fault) we again took the metro went to Lajpat Nagar and changed metro and my friends' home comes before mine so we when we reached his station he stood on the wrong gate of the metro which was quite amusing and then he hastily went from the correct door. :()
After he stood up we shared a handshake which was the second genuine handshake of my day and a parting goodbye as he was leaving for his hometown tomorrow.
So after 10 minutes, I reached my home at 11 pm something well I was pretty thirsty so I also bought a mineral water bottle in between because we don't have a fridge in our home. (New fridge quite expensive for us you know)
So after reaching home I found there were 5 people in the room which is not mine so why would I care I washed my hands, feet, and face. And went to the kitchen to see dinner which was fried rice and I was happy for the first time in a while after seeing some home-cooked meal. Then I went to my room to dry my face and put my phone to charge but suddenly a message comes from the person I like.
It was " Hii "
Let's meet in the next post.
